Your County Council is the direct line of support and resource to all PTA & PTSA units within Orange County Florida.
General Meetings of the Orange County Council
As a officer/member of your local PTA/PTSA we ask and encourage you to attend the general meetings of OCCPTA.
As per bylaws, the voting body of the council shall consist of the council executive board, the president of each good standing local unit in membership (or an elected officer), the principal (or representative), and up to three (3) delegates (current members) selected by each local unit according to it’s own procedure. Please register your PTA/PTSA delegates in order to be able to vote in OCCPTA General Meetings.
We also need a volunteer team of parents/guardians, teachers, students, and community partners to be able to assist and strengthen the local PTA & PTSA units. Please consider volunteering with us.
Scholarship Fund
OCCPTA kindly asks that every local unit PTA/PTSA consider making a donation to the Scholarship Fund as the unit funds allow.
County Dues
As stated in your unit’s bylaws, a Orange County PTA/PTSA shall pay annual dues to County Council. Dues are payable on or by October 31st annually. After that point, your unit will no longer be in good standing.
Payment of Council Dues allows your unit to participate in Leadership Training events, Reflections Art program, Awards programs, Scholarship applications, as well as other programs or grants provided by the Orange County Council of PTA/PTSA, Florida PTA or National PTA. Become a Golden Orange PTA/PTSA, and stay compliant.
Grants
Periodically, Orange County Council will have grant opportunities available to local units. Program grants are occasionally available through Florida PTA as well as National PTA.
